Three spinners in India's World Cup squad

Bangalore, Jan 17 (Yahoo! Cricket): India's selection committee has included three spin bowlers in the 15-man squad for the 2011 World Cup which will be held in the sub- continent from February 19. R Ashwin, Piyush Chawla and Harbhajan Singh will carry out the spin duties for India in the tournament.
The injured duo of Sachin Tendulkar (hamstring) and Praveen Kumar (elbow) have been named in the squad, and the selectors would be hoping that they regain fitness before India kicks off its campaign against Bangladesh in Mirpur on the opening day of the tournament. Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir, who had also sustained injuries and came back to India before the start of the one-day series in South Africa have also been included.
Rohit Sharma, Ishant Sharma and S Sreesanth, who are currently in India's ODI squad in South Africa, haven't made the cut. Pragyan Ojha though can consider himself unlucky as he hasn't been picked for the World Cup. The selectors have gone in with only one wicket-keeper in skipper MS Dhoni.
Commenting on the squad, chief selector K Srikkanth told CNN-IBN that this is the best team they could find. "It's a very balanced team. This team will do the job well," he added.
SQUAD: MS Dhoni (capt), Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Praveen Kumar, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Munaf Patel, Piyush Chawla, R Ashwin.
